Pocket-lint.com has some real-life photos of Acer’s impending 11.6-inch netbook, the Aspire One 751, which was shown off at an event in London yesterday. The netbook, as you’ll recall, will feature a respectable 1366×768 resolution and a six-cell battery that Acer claims is good for up to eight hours.
The 751 is due this month and I’ll admit that I have high hopes for it. I think Acer’s aggressive pricing, the unit’s 2.2-pound weight (presumably with a three-cell battery), and the sweet-spot that an 11.6-inch screen provides in terms of portability versus actually being able to get some real work done might make this model a true contender.
UK pricing “is suggested to be around £349,” according to Pocket-lint. That’s a little over $520 in US dollars, but I contend that the US price will likely be $499 or less. These new photos, too, look better than the original images, if you ask me.

this is very nice post
Wtf, omg, you could not pay me to buy this,…….is this a joke or something.
This is an awesome machine. I already have a ACER ASPIRE 8.9 which I relinquished to my teenager and MY 10.1 which my husband has claimed as his. This 11.6 is all mine!!!!!!!!
I appreciate the bigger size while it retains is portability. I prefer it to my soon to be EX laptop at almost 7 lbs. It does all I need it to do and then some. We are definitely an ACER family.
