Ugh! Really? That’s annoying. Play-priority? What a pain in the ass! If I’m not using an SLR, I want it to be a point and shoot, not a point, shoot, realize I didn’t flip the switch, flip the switch, then point and shoot.

I just bought a FX37 but in the manual they say you CAN'T use SD cards to record videos... they are only stored in the internal memory. So if I want to shoot an HD video I have only 8 minutes of autonomy! How's that possible?

In fact I put in a 8GB SDHC card and the video capacity is still only 8 minutes!

These are nice pictures, but ultimately the SLRs are always the best.

A few corrections to your review of the Panasonic DNC-FX37....

Lens is a 5x optical zoom, covering 25-125mm (35mm equivalent). Also, comment that it's "f/2.8 is kinda slow"---not many are "faster"!! Many of these smallish cameras are still f/3.3 or worse! Only have seen a couple of f/2.6-2.7 lenses ever listed!

Do hope image quality is decent, as I've just ordered one of these for myself!!
