Windows 7 is a speedy little bastard, even on an Asus Eee PC 1000HA as this video shows. Spoiler: it’s quick but not OMG fast.

how fast is it? video blocked at work.
Try clicking the HQ button. Doesn’t make it High Quality if it’s a low video, but I get a lot of blocked videos too at work but when I push the HQ or HD button it works.
it looks like the Vista Boot Screen ***hole!
so lets see,
34s * 1.5/update * 10 (updates per month) * 12mo
= 102 mins to boot
yes it’s exaggerated, but you know it’s true.
since when is 34 sec. boot time fast ???
imho its too slow. was hoping for better.
how does vista compare ?
34 seconds is very fast on a netbook.
the winner is….. ubuntu :)
FAIL!!!
The winner is Android which boots in 13 seconds on netbooks.
FAIL!!
The winner is the BIOS which boots in less than 1 second on any computer.
LOL :p
Macs boot from sleep in one second. Most of us don’t turn them off for weeks at time. But if we do, a cold start boot is 10 seconds.
YEH..but a mac cost twice as much as a PC….and for that kind of money….it better do something faster./……..DOH !!!!!!!
I assume you are exaggerating, my iMacs do wake from sleep in 1 second, and yes I leave them on for weeks at a time, but I can say the same for my Windows and Linux driven PC’s.
And I haven’t seen a single Mac ever boot in 10 seconds, 45 – 50 is the norm for me.
The fastest cold boot I have is my Acer Aspire One at 15 seconds.
