I think that the Enterprise would win against the clumsey Death Star. All they need to do is scan for the thermal exaust port and do surgery on a photon torpedo to ain for the two-meter-wide hole and blow the station! Kirk would have found a way, especially if the Death Star was preparing to deatroy Earth!

Program a Photon torpedo to fly into the exhaust port of the death star, and dont tell me it cant be done!. Fire from a distance…one dead space station. All the Enterprise has to do is stay out of the way of the super laser. And I really dont think a capital ship like Enterprise could hover so low in the atmosphere…not without a huge expenditure of power.

And to you ignorant jerk offs for calling us dorks for a piece of culture that we like…go find the nearest building and fling yourself off of it.

first off why would the USS enterprise want to be by its self that close to the ground in a supposed “Imperial Controlled” area anyways? if it was some kind of attack against imperial forces they would at least be moving and have established the problem of the huge weapon pointed directly at them known as the DEATH star.

But, If you have ever seen the movie, HOT ROD, you’d know the answer to the ultimate question: Who would win in a fight between a grilled cheese sandwich and a taco. The apparently obvious choices are 2. In a fair fight, the grilled cheese would win. If it was prison rules, the taco would win. Check out the movie HOT ROD sometime, it’s hilarious! besides…..the millenium falcon, with its faster than light-speed capability & all her prowess were no match for the WHAT? > oh yeah…the tractor beam. The enterprise would be toast against the death star, but you pit good ol’ NCC-1701 against the star destroyer, now THAT may be interesting! THEN, again….the enterprise has a tough time against a bird of prey, even another star ship (Reliant) so a star destroyer MAY prove to be a bit of a challenge after all.

and beaming up & down, cloaking devices, putting whales in the hold of a bird of prey, and a torpedo exploding in a starship becoming a planet, looping around the sun at warp speed to go back & forth through time?? THAT makes PERFECT SENSE? IT’S SCI-FI! some ya gotta like, some ya gotta blow off. either way, to each their own! What do you think of Dune? THAT’s one of my favorites as well. I happen to be both a star trek fan and star wars fan. I’m too much into baseball & cheer the red sox and hate the yankees, so the star wars trekkie battle just never occupies my mind, the the idea of the Enterprise taking on the death star, well, that’s a suicide mission for kirky boy there, but throw in some klingon birds of prey, and pit them against the empire, THEN we’ve got something. Remember, it took teency little fighters to get in there & blow the thing up in the first place….TWICE! I’m not trying to cause trouble, or anything, I’m just voicing my opinion, I personally think sci-fi is subjective to a person’s taste.

Wait. This doesn’t make sense. Start wars was the a long time ago and star trek is the future so it wouldn’t work. Now if you had “Space1999″ vs “Quark”, that’d be something. Sure “Quark” was a garbage ship, but Richard Benjamin could totally kick Martin Landau’s azz in a “yo mama” fight.

i´m sorry i enjoy this but …but before you begin this “war” between technologies you need to establish some sort of time period because obviosuly there is more to choose from in Star trek than in Star Wars so this would make it a “little” more fair.
but just for the record Star Trek is better. : )
