Good evening, fellow earthlings. Before you jump into bed and get ready for the new week, I wanted to fill you in on some hot and juicy Palm Pre news. A tipster has informed us that the Palm Pre “Real Reviewer” units are shipping out this week. To be more specific, we’re told that reviewers should be getting them towards the end of the week or as early as Wednesday. In other words, expect to see a lot of Palm Pre ’sightings’ this week. Was anyone actually notified? I guess if they were, and had to sign some kind of NDA – we may not actually know who was picked. :) I didn’t see any tweets over the weekend from anyone selected. (I guess I figured people would be announcing it if they were picked)
likewise… didn’t know that they had already made their selections… i would have thought that someone would have let the inter-tubes know that they got selected..
I’d be really interested to learn how they managed to get all those selected to remain silent over the weekend. Makes me think they haven’t been notified yet; but if Pres are are shipping…
Nothing to stop Palm from notifying folks tomorrow (Monday) and then shipping overnight. I’ve thought about it, and it doesn’t make sense to me that Palm would have notified the reviewers but then placed them under NDAs merely about being selected.
I agree… the whole point of their “Real Reviewer” program is more viral than anything… getting people to create buzz in all of the big public places like Twitter and Facebook. Strapping people down with NDA’s would sure kill the buzz. :)
I wonder how policies and such are going to go. Assuming they’ve notified no one and they’re sending out all these phones, well.. what happens if these phones get damaged and yada yada yada?
I wish Palm would announce something to help clarify everything. I’ve literally spent this whole weekend constantly refreshing my inbox and stalking their blog/similar websites… D:

So… did anyone get/hear of anything?
I got a call from Palm saying I was a “semi-finalist”. They asked for my address and then mailed me a letter saying I was a “finalist”, and that I had to send an email. I sent the email with a special code. The official “Real Reviewers” would be selected from that group that received the letter. I sent a follow up email to which they responded that they would let me know. Haven’t heard anything after that, but I’m hoping I will hear something soon, but chances are everyone else has already been notified. Anybody have another update?
