Now THIS is why you should save every little bit of scrap wood you come across. And every rollerball mouse, too, incidentally, as user “seamster” over at Instructables built a homemade pinball table from various bits of wood he had lying around and, as icing on the cake, used an old mouse rollerball as the pinball.

Here’s a video of the table in action:

And as if that wasn’t cool enough, seamster has since added a huge swooping arch and “a ‘Plinko’-style pegged board” made of dowels glued into MDF. Very cool and, remember, no batteries needed.

  • Sort of an ugly, semi-pinball like game, more like it. I suppose this is better than the wood ending up at a landfill, though.

  • Having just read a blog on waterboarding, I thought this table was another waterboarding table. The head would fit between the paddles, the shoulders supported by the paddles, etc.

Time to take a break from looking at depressing things (waterboarding tables), and check out cool pics (like homemade pinball tables).

  • Yeah I made one of these as a kid a long time ago. Guess I shoulda taken some pics with my digital errr 110 camera.
