I went to the Apple store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and they told me my warranty was void and it was cost $199.99 to fix my phone I paid over $500 for!!!! I found an iPhone repair expert in Southeast Wisconsin. I talked to Patrick on the phone and assured me he could have it done in 15 minutes and shipped back to me same day. I recently had a similar situation where I dropped my phone and picked it up only to find that the screen had been cracked! Really frustrating! I was told by apple this repair would be $199. After searching around for a little bit, I found http://www.iphone3gscreenrepair.com on google. They had the same repair available for only $69.99! The better part is that I sent my phone in on monday and had it back by wednesday! I really recommend them.

You can also buy the same kit off of ebay with the double sided tape and tool kit for 32.00. I just did mine and it came out great however I recommend getting a razor blade when taking off the glass.
