Have/Had the N770, N800 & N810, keep the N800 as the GPS was the only reason I went for the N810..what a joke...

However, the N8x0's are very cool..I am watching TV, steaming from my HDTV on the N800 at this moment...use it as a music/video/TV when I travel..connects to my cell phone/wifi to do so...and a backup to check mail/web as its screen is larger...

The HELP given on the forum "trained me" to go from Windows to Ubuntu and now I have "Open Source" program for free, that I use to spend thousands on....

These are excellent devices, you just need to set them up your way to get the most out of them. The GPS does take a long time to get afix, but once it does it works great. Gather the apps you need and dump the default ones. The major change you must make is to load one of the webkit based browsers, I suggest Tear. Tear is leaps faster then the default MicroB, and it's Kinetic scrolling makes for a great browsing experiance.

Please don't bother thinking of iphone or ipod as an alternative, the n810 is a real linux platform and without backround tasks and a real keyboard they are not really in the same class.

I bought an n800 as soon as it was available, and it has been a disappointment ever since. The media player is awful, the 3d party ones are ok at best, the browser is slow and "it can handle flash" is a pretty generous statement. The 810 has the same software and processor so i dont have much faith in it being any better. I dont think ive even turned the n800 on since i got an ipod touch 2g.

I had an n800 and loved the thing. The community surrounding these products is really great, and the software they're creating is truly excellent.

I'd love to pick up an n810, but there's one thing that stops me. As great as Micro-b is, it has one major flaw. For a modern browser, it's way too slow. Because of that, it's hard to recommend the n810 for casual web browsing, even over the iPod Touch.

It really is a shame, too. These Nokia tablets are excellent devices, that are really fun to use. They really just need to speed up that browser.

I had one and sold it pretty quick. The software didn't live up to my expectations in terms of flexibility and ease of use. And the GPS just plain sucked. I'm sure there have been significant improvements from the development community, and $200 is a very good price for that hardware, but I still don't think that I'd go back to it. If I were in the market for something that was more like a PDA than a smartphone, I'd go with the iPod touch for about the same price.

Is this worth it? I bought the N800 but returned it after a few days since the software sucked. But with the physical keyboard...

Decent deal, but pretty limited in usefulness unless you know what you're doing.
