Hubble repairs are complete, time to come home

hubbleAll is well with the Hubble Telescope. The Atlantis crew completed the delicate repairs and released the satellite back into space.

Now, presumably after a quick nap and maybe even a screening of Star Trek, the crew has to check out the thermal protection on the Shuttle’s wings, nose cap, and underside tiles. The shuttle suffered damage during the launch and these tiles are the only thing between the souls on board and the heat of reentry. We wish them the best.
