Not that anybody ever comes back to a one month old posting (which is like 1995 in Internet years), I still wanted to throw this little comment out there:

YouTube loading slow on your fat pipe is not Google's fault, but actually a feature! Most people never actually watch a video to the end but loose interest after 25 seconds or so, so they don't load the whole video on purpose to save bandwidth, but only as much as needed to play it without interruptions. It's actually pretty smart and I felt you aren't doing Google justice (like they need it!) by saying it's their fault.

I've got Ultra as well but can't seem to seed on any private torrents. I've tried all the security settings in Vuze and uTorrent as well.

This is because Optimum is using Sandvine to traffic shape.. Essentially blocking seeding.

If anyone finds a way aruond this please drop me a line.

Under the Transfer section of Options, increase the max connections and max upload slots, by say tenfold.

Well the “private” BitTorrent site I used in the example bans Transmission because of its shaky history. So I'm stuck with Vuze, I guess.

When was the last time you tried Transmission? I suppose it USED to be pretty buggy but I think it's pretty rock solid now.. Very light weight too. Also, there's a beta of uTorrent for the mac out there too. x=) /me continues his jealous rage for you.
