HDC-TM300

Panasonic in Japan announced two new camcorders yesterday [JP], the HDC-TM350 with 64GB of internal memory and TM30 with a 32GB HDD. The company claims that with a weight of 227g, the TM30 is the lightest camcorder of its kind in the industry. The other device is the world’s largest capacity full HD camcorder. Not bad.

The TM350 (pictured above) features a 1/4.1″ CMOS sensor (10.6MP), 12x zoom and 5.1ch sound support. The TM30 has a 1/6″ CMOS sensor (2.1MP), 16x zoom and offers 2ch sound support. Both camcorders feature a 2.7-inch LCD screen and offer USB/SDHC card/HDMI interfaces.

Panasonic plans to ship the camcorders in Japan on June 25 with the TM350 costing $1,500 and the TM30 costing $1,000. The company hasn’t said yet if the devices will be available in other markets as well.
