Were a WickedLasers family. We enjoy shooting them at napkins to make them burn and zapping friends legs while they’re sitting at our picnic table. Obviously these things are as dangerous as all get out, but a little innocent fun is always in the offing and we always play it safe with glasses and appropriate safety measures.
The Photonic Disruptor is a different animal altogether, however. You’re supposed to shoot this one in peoples eyes, something I didn’t quite want to try on others. Sez the website:
The Photonic Disruptor™ is an extremely effective, non-lethal, waterproof high powered green laser built specifically for rugged, harsh environments. This laser is classified as TALI™ (Threat Assessment Laser Illuminator).
This product has been featured on Discovery Channels Future Weapons. This tactical laser is equipped with versatile focus-adjustable collimating lenses to compensate for range and power intensity. Laze a non-lethal focused or unfocused beam towards potential threats at a distance. Used properly, the Photonic Disruptor™ will temporarily overwhelm a threats visual senses without causing permanent eye damage.

So its like a laser Taser with a 100mW power output and a 532nm wavelength. Its not a real burner but you can pop balloons and light matches without much trouble. You’re also supposed to aim it at peoples faces, something I wasn’t prepared to do. I did try it on myself and I saw a few trails for a bit and was then OK. I survived, but do not try it at home.
Bottom Line
So for $599 you get a high-powered green laser in a waterproof case – even the super-expensive Spyder isn’t waterproof, so this is a big plus – and a handsome box. They ship these things quite quickly and lasers are great so you’re guaranteed a good time no matter what you’re trying to do. As for the photonic disrupting qualities I’m not so sure. Attempt at your own risk.

Dude you really tried it?
I’ll keep using my flash bang grenades when I plan on temporarily blinding people I care about.
“Review: WickedLasers Photonic Distuptor”
You spelled Disruptor in the title wrong.
fixed
You are a loser. SUG-A-DIC!!!
Eric u spelled ur last name wrong…it’s FOUR
I have heard about this thing, I cannot believe they actually say to aim it at people’s eyes though.
Jawn Bigz y joo d00 dat, it has teh ability to blind thee…….. heeee heeeee…….
on a more serious note you are frickin nuts pointing that thing at your eye.
If it’s 100mW the beam had better be not focused to a dot but instead spread out to a large circle before point at ANYBODY. You should also not that this type of eye damage often does not hurt at all, just part of your vision is gone, forever.
I’ve been a Wicked customer also, but lately been building my own

Can I pay for your servesez – Iz a rely bad spellar 2.
“Were a WickedLasers family.”
or
“We’re a WickedLasers family.”
or
“Were you a WikedLasers family?”
Spell check doesn’t work on homophones
*Is “were vs we’re” actually homophone? Can I have a grammar expert let me know what they are called? Thanks*
WickedLasers sell overpriced, underpowered units. Their feature on future weapons was a fake which they had paid for, and this laser is in no way special. It is not made for any military use and will be just as good for it as any other green laser of the same power. You can get a green laser of higher quality and higher, guaranteed output for much less than they are charging. DO NOT USE WICKEDLASERS! Go to laserpointerforums for research if you want a proper laser for less money.
The photo looks awesome, but I can’t afford its price,I will buy laser pointers at http://www.greenlaserpointer.org
