Pretty nice barebones combo over at Newegg.com today. You can get a motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 512MB ATI Radeon video card for $140 after a $39 instant discount and $25 worth of mail-in rebates.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte microATX board and the RAM is two 2GB sticks of OCZ-brand DDR2 800 memory. The video card is a Gigabyte-branded Radeon HD 4350 with 512MB of 64-bit GDDR2 memory.
It’s a low-profile card with HDMI output. So that, along with the microATX board, 4GB of RAM, and a fast CPU might make for a very nice start to a home theater PC on the cheap.
The combo is comprised of a $15 mail-in rebate and a $10 mail-in rebate, both of which expire on May 31st. If you were to buy all these parts on their own, you’d fork over more than $200 so the $140 bottom line is a pretty great deal if you’re looking to put together an HTPC, a home server, or even a full-fledged computer for everyday use.

It’s worth noting that the CPU doesn’t come with a cooler (not that a cheap AM2 cooler is hard to come by, but don’t order this bundle thinking that you won’t need one).
