The future! Please observe ToastIt Toaster Bags. Non-toxic, non-stick bags that are heat-resistant up to 500 degrees, dishwasher safe, and cost $4.50 for two. You build a delicious sandwich, put it in a toaster bag, and drop it in your toaster. Boom, hot melty sandwich.
Perhaps the law of gravity might make for a gooey mess at the bottom of the bag if you were to overtoast something but in most cases, this seems like a pretty stupidly awesome way to whip up some quick, hot food. Chalk up another point for space-age polymers or whatever the hell material the bags are made of.
The bags can be reused up to 50 times each and even work on indoor grills. Here’s a video for your consumption:

For some reason I imagine eating a sandwich covered in hot, dripping plastic that will cause a slow, painful death later in life.
Thanks, Toastit!
Wait, can you fit two slices of bread with fillings into one toaster slot on a toaster?
I haven’t used a toaster in a while.
That’s a great video. I like when they use a bag to cook on a George Foreman (or whatever) completely defeating the purpose of said grill but cooking the burger in it’s own juices.
But what about the grill marks?
Looks more like a sandwich poacher to me.
You mean I shouldn’t be using tin foil to do this?
Doug, you’ve gotta do a video review! Your the best at it and this is a perfect candidate. PLEASE!!! i”ll even pay for the frikin sammich bags.
Way ahead of you, Trev. I’ll have a video review up in the near future.
YES!!!!!!!
Been using this for a while in the UK – ours now need replacing as they’ve reached their max useage.
These are one of those things that seem like a horrible idea, but just work. The cheese doesn’t really drip unless you really overdo it, as the bags hold everything pretty snug in the toaster. Bread is always well done, and fillings perfect.
Simple, cheap and it actually works – note, I am not affiliated with Toast Its in any way, just a fan!
Kudos on this genius idea!!! I really want a hot ham and cheese now though. Seriously I think this is awesome.
