As my better half says, “Only in the South.” Have you guys seen these e-ciggy kiosks in malls around your neck of the woods? If you’ve never seen one of these things then check out John’s review of the SuperSmoker Blue.

  • They are all over the place in New Jersey. Believe its $125 for the “starter kit”.

  • Annapolis Mall in MD has one. Couldn’t believe there were people shopping there when I walked by. I’ve been there a hundred times since I moved to MD, and I still die a little inside every time I see it.

    • why do you die a little inside? big deal, so people don’t to burn tabacco. maybe they are trying not to die a little inside everytime they smoke.

  • Man, harsh on the South. :-)

Is this in SouthPark mall? Kind of looks vaguely like SouthPark from the flooring and wood paneling. If so, this must be relatively new.

I frequent this mall and haven’t seen this in there before and was just there not all that long ago.

  • There’s one in the Galleria in Houston, TX. It’s the biggest, fanciest mall in the area. I dunno about other malls, it’s the one with the closest Apple store to me.

  • got ‘em in FL.

  • they are all over in So-Cal stupid armenians are putting alot of money in that companies pockets

    :p

  • Got ‘em in Denver.

  • Wow, Denver, Maryland, Jersey…the South must have moved.

    Moron.

  • Seen them around but I just found this awesome brand that is way better and the price is what it should be. They are call blucigs.com

    Very cool!

  • If people are getting upset because they are seeing people using the e-cigarette, than it is like I’ve figured, it is aesthetics of someone smoking and not the smoking. The e-cigarette has no second hand smoke, no cancer causing chemicals, and does not smell. So what is the problem now, because you don’t like it? You should be happy for smokers because they now have a green way to smoke. What is smoked is nicotine, which is just as unhealthy for you than caffeine. I personally do not drink coffee, maybe I should complain because the smell of coffee is sickening to me. That heavy oily smell that is grinded from a caffeine filled bean. My goodness they even but this drug (caffeine) in ice-cream for children. Yup, it’s what I thought; it is because you don’t want to see people smoking and nothing more. Well, I think it ridiculous that people carry around little Styrofoam cups drinking hot flavored water the first thing in the morning.

    • The e-ciggy still has nicotine in it. And as we all know, nicotine is—say it with me now—a carcinogen, or a known cancer-causing agent. One pure, liquid drop of nicotine on the skin will knock out a 200lb man instantly.
In my opinion, there’s really no “green” way to smoke/ingest chemicals what have you. But at least there’s no smoke.

At least most Styrofoam cups are attractive. :]

I think that’s a common misconception. I’ve been looking into smoking cessation stuff for my mother and was surprised to learn nicotine by itself isn’t a carcinogen.

That being said, I’m sure there’s some anti-everything paranoid conspiracy theorists who have a non-peer reviewed study saying it is, but from what I’ve learned trying to help my mom to stop smoking, it seems to be more akin to caffeine. Like caffeine it’s addictive, bad for your heart and causes some minor neurological changes with long term use but it doesn’t seem to be linked to cancer outside of the traditional tobacco products.

*Sigh* I wish we had one of those kiosks in OUR mall so my mom could test it first. As it is, I’m just about to order one of these things online. Ten bucks says I’ll pay for the thing and she’ll hate it.

      • Nicotine does not cause cancer!! and it is not a carcinogen!!!! Please be aware of the facts before posting false statements!

      • Yeah, do your homework. Nicotine is not a carcinogen. That’s an awfully big word for someone as ill informed as you.. stick to the little ones.

      • Very wrong.

    • Thank you a million times for your wise words about the e-cig. I too, have found them to be a lifesaver! In one month I broke a 20 year 1.5 pack per day horrible habit and I have not looked back! Finally smokers can kick the habit that was once thought more difficult than serious drugs to get off.
People need to stop being so judgemental, and realize that instead of a “doomed world” we could have a world filled with compassion and caring and HOPE! Come on….what world would you choose? DOOMED or HOPE FILLED……mmmm
not a tough choice for me, but it will take some more like minded positive thinking individuals to create the momentum for HOPE to prevail! Try IT, you’ll see how this thinking brings you abundances like never before!

  • Nothing to get…The gum and patch dont work..The E cig does!
I had smoked almost 2 packs a day for the last 34 yrs years and now because of the E cig I am an X smoker! If you smoke and want to either have an alternative to inhaling 4000 chemicals which is what you inhale smoking a tobacco cigarette, or you want to completely quit smoking all together, PLEASE give this product a try. It works, it worked for me! It has also worked for several other people in my family!

When I bought the E cig on April 14th, I had NO intentions of quitting smoking. I love to smoke but just had to try this new electronic thing called the E cig. That was the last time I smoked a real cigarette to my surprise!

I started with the High cartridges, then went to mediums,,,and then to low. This took about 5 to six weeks. After my first puff i knew quitting on this would be easy , and it was! The electronic cigarette takes care of the ENTIRE addiction that comes with \”smoking\” NOT just the nicotine addiction which is the only element the other quit aids address. In my opinion, thats why it works. I have tryed all the other quit aid products such as the patch and the gum which never worked for me. I wanted to try Chantix but chose not to when my sister almost went off the deep end using it. That was enought for me! I wanted NO part of that!! I have tryed many times over the years to quit and NOTHING worked until NOW.

I have been off nicotine now for about 3 weeks now and like i said , my last cigarette was April 14th. Today I use the E cig only when i want to! I still love to smoke (vape) but at least now i know im not inhaling all them chemicals and i have NO nicotine in my ZERO E cartridges! Today i dont use the E cig often but when i want to… i can!! I believe this is maybe why it works as an aid to quit smoking.

I pray the FDA gets over trying to rid us of the E cig. No taxes or money to be made off this one!! Sorry FDA!

Quitting smoking on the e cig was extremely easy for some reason. No cravings, no nothing. Even today being around people who smoke dont give me a craving. This was extremely easy and i think im just in awe trying to figure out why. LOL

I recommend a pen style if you buy one. The battery and the cartridges last longer then the little ones. The pen style does NOT look like a cigarette which is a good thing when you want to vape in a restaurant, store, ect as your quitting. Also using the pen style you are braking the habit of holding that cigaratte which is another good step.

All I know is I am a NON smoker because of this product and i can jump up and down telling people about it!! I feel great! I can breathe! My lungs feel great! I dont smell like an ashtray anymore! My taste and smell came back!! Give it a try imo YOU wont be sorry!!

E cig has No smoke,No ash, No tar, No carcitigens, No Flame, No smell, No second hand smoke!

wayyyyy cheaper then smoking too!!! \”smile\”

    • I second this whole statement. It is an exact story to mine. I have only been off the regular for about 4 weeks now but it is sooooo easy to quit with this. If anyone wants to buy one let me know i have a discount code to enter for saving money. Just e-mail me.

    • Hi Happy X smoker,
congratulations! … I’m not a smoker but I am doing some research for my family about these electronic cigarettes. You mention in your blurb that the FDA is trying to get rid of these e-cigs. May I ask why? and where can I find this information?

      Thank you for your help
      Congrats! again Carla

  • O i almost forgot and have to add, my E cig is awesome! I bought mine at ecigcompany.com/

The code 711 in an email after you purchase it works for a free gift. Worked for me! Works great and the owner stands behind his product! Hope this helps! I love mine…i bought the black one!
    HappyXsmoker

  • Yup… I bought one from that very kiosk. Maybe I don’t want to be “healthy”. It’s MY choice.
If you don’t agree. GO F*#$ YOURSELF.

  • Hopefully youll be able to say that when you cant breathe!

Sorry I choose the E cig…best invention since the wheel!!!! “smile”

try it , you might like it!

  • Ecigs are fantastic. Nicotine used this way is many times beter for your health than real cigarettes. Since there is no second hand smoke then I would assume that it is my health, my life, my freedom and my enjoyment.
Open your mind, every law, ban and restriction is taking away your freedom.

The real trouble is that some people just can’t sleep well at night knowing that somewhere somebody is having a good time.

  • This is hilarious. People have been so brainwashed about the evils of smoking that even when a product looks like smoking they have a knee-jerk revulsion. Don’t these folks have a brain? Let’s see now – the user inhales flavored water vapor,in a fashion identical to a child inhaling from a vaporizer, and gets a nicotene fix, which decades of studies have shown has no adverse effects on anyone’s health. Now exactly why are there any objections to using this healthy activity to replace smoking cigarettes?? Unfortunately , this is more evidence of the inability of the younger generation to think logically. Unbelievable.

  • These things are great. I finally found a good set after trying several. Check it out @ aquavapor.com

  • To everyone who has a problem with e-cigarettes. GO FUCK YOURSELF! and to everyone who sees someone doing something that they don’t agree with and wish they weren’t allowed to do that. GET OUT OF AMERICA!

  • I second that !!!!!!!!! theelectroniccigarettecompany.com discount code TF7683C

  • Thanks for all of your suggestions and opinions everybody. Does anyone know what mall it is in NC. that has the kiosk?

  • PS: I live in the Charlotte area. Thanks again!

  • To those who think these solve the health issues, you better do some research. These are as bad, if not worse, from a health perspective. They remove some of the social issues with smoking, but are in no way healthy.

    Potential health effects

    Eye
Causes mild eye irritation. Contact may cause irritation, tearing, and burning pain.
    Skin
Causes moderate skin irritation. Contact with the skin may cause erythema, dryness, and defatting.
    Ingestion
May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Low hazard for usual industrial handling. May cause hemoglobinuric nephrosis. May cause changes in surface EEG.
    Inhalation
Low hazard for usual industrial handling. May cause respiratory tract irritation.
    Chronic
May cause reproductive and fetal effects. Laboratory experiments have resulted in mutagenic effects. Exposure to large doses may cause central nervous system depression. Chronic ingestion may cause lactic acidosis and possible seizures.

The oral toxicity of propylene glycol is very low, and large quantities are required to incur the dangerous effects described above. The potential for long-term toxicity is also low. In one study, rats were provided with feed containing as much as 5% PG over a period of 104 weeks and they showed no apparent ill effects.[7] Because of its low chronic oral toxicity, propylene glycol is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use as a direct food additive. Cases of propylene glycol poisoning are related to either inappropriate intravenous use or accidental ingestion of large quantities by children.[8]

Serious toxicity will occur only at plasma concentrations over 4g/L, which requires extremely high intake over a relatively short period of time.[9] It would be nearly impossible to reach toxic levels by consuming foods or supplements, which contain at most 1g/kg of PG. Propylene glycol is metabolized into pyruvic acid, which is a normal part of the glucose metabolism process and is readily converted to energy.

Veterinary data indicates that propylene glycol is toxic to 50% of dogs at doses of 9mL/kg, although the figure is higher for most laboratory animals (LD50 at levels of 20mL/kg).[10] However, it may be toxic to cats in ways not seen in other animals. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has determined that propylene glycol in or on cat food has not been shown by adequate scientific data to be safe for use. If propylene glycol is used in or on cat food, the food is considered adulterated and in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.[11]

Prolonged contact with propylene glycol is essentially non-irritating to the skin. Undiluted propylene glycol is minimally irritating to the eye, and can produce slight transient conjunctivitis (the eye recovers after the exposure is removed). Exposure to mists may cause eye irritation, as well as upper respiratory tract irritation. Inhalation of the propylene glycol vapors appears to present no significant hazard in ordinary applications. However, limited human experience indicates that inhalation of propylene glycol mists could be irritating to some individuals. Therefore inhalation exposure to mists of these materials should be avoided. Some research has suggested that propylene glycol not be used in applications where inhalation exposure or human eye contact with the spray mists of these materials is likely, such as fogs for theatrical productions or antifreeze solutions for emergency eye wash stations.[12]

Propylene glycol does not cause sensitization and it shows no evidence of being a carcinogen or of being genotoxic.[13][14]

There is limited evidence that intravenous injection of PG can cause adverse responses in a small number of people. A Clinical Journal of Medicine article describes two cases of adult men experiencing psychosis from use of injected phenytoin that contained PG as a solvent. Their symptoms resolved when they were switched to a phenytoin formulation without PG.[citation needed]

    • OMG – Thanks for the life saving info.

I don’t think I want to take the risk of getting an eye irritation, or skin rash. WOW – I’m glad I signed up for this message board.

Rather than take the risk of all the potential harmful health issues you mentioned I’m gong to go back to smoking the traditional healthy cigarette. You kow the one that’s been around for over 100 years and today kills over 500,000 people a year and is not approved by the FDA. At least with it, I know I’m most likely going to die from it. It’ll be a relief knowing that and not having to worry about a rash or my eye burning.

You should spread the news man, think about how many people you can save. Go to every blog you cna find, call all the news channels, news papers, and radio stations before too many people give up regular cigarettes for ecigs.

You are the MAN!!!! – Thanks Again Pal.

      • havent laughed that hard in a while!!!!! THANKS MAN!!!! GREAT REPLY!!!!!! YEA, Im going to quit using my e cig now that i know it could burn my skin lol lmfao!! what an ass!!!

  • My husband and I each have smoked about 1.5 packs for over 50 years. We purchased the ecigs and have not smoked a cigarette in nearly 8 wks. Neither of us has a desire to go back. We both are down to zero nicotine, but enjoy the taste and the calming smoking experience.

  • Hey, lady! I’ve tried a lot of stuff to quit – everything short of tying boards to my arms so’s I can’t get my hand near my mouth. Even Thomas Jefferson said he had a tough time with tobacco, & he didn’t have all the extra nicotine they put into cigs that we havem so it’s probably harder for us than it even was for him.

I will welcome anything that helps someone to either quit or slow down the dying process.

Get off your high horse. I think, if it WORKS, that it’s a great alternative, even if it doesn’t help you stop completely.

I’m so sick of hearing ppl wringing their hands & bewailing the end of our culture every time something new comes out that just might HELP someone!

I’ve been trying to find these things.

  • Hey phil, i have tried to quit smoking using electronic cigarettes. And I will be completely honest with you. It has not worked 100%. Mainly because I don’t always have a charged battery or a full cartridge in the club when Im drunk, and at that moment when your grabbing cigs off strangers, I usually end up smoking real cigarettes. But when Im at home, completely sober… or in the car and I have an E cig, I will use it. I use the Blu cigs that I got from http://www.electroniccigarettesource.com SO I would say it does not make you QUIT… because they don’t always function well… or the battery is dead or whatever… so you don’t have access to it like you do to regular cigs that you can grab at 7/11 so it kind of just helps me smoke less now… cuz i use the e cig as well.

  • hello, this is katya from china,we are manufacturing electronic cigarette.http://www.dubacn.com
    thanks

  • I have read that polypropal glicerine is an alternative for poly glycol if one makes you sick the other one is advised I have been reading about e cigs for a month now just ordered one from bestecig.com I believe they are a good site to buy from. the owner has a msn messenger account ten minutes after ordering he responded to me and said he was filling my order .he has a lot of positive feedback ships from china to your door in five days!! we live in america and if we want to live there’s nothing you can do about USA=freedom look it up a lot of people forget where they live!!!

  • To the lady flipping out about nicotine….

http://www.vapersforum.com….get educated before you post here. Nicotine is not a cancer causing agent. You really must get your facts straight. You can also find much better deals on this forum vs the kiosk at the mall.

I quit smoking over 7 months ago using my DSE 901.

  • Saving Lungs. Saving Lives
    Go Green with the best.

  • i last posted June 8th (see above) . Its been over 7 months for me that ive quit smoking! I smoked for over 34yrs!

Within one month of using the electronic cigarette I was completely off nicotine and I was a 2 pack a day smoker! The e cig works thats for sure!

Today I still carry it with me but I dont use it often. I believe its more of a security blanket for me at this time if anything at all. If I lost it I wouldnt buy another one and i guess thats all that counts. Ive been smoke free for 7 months now and nicotine free for over 6! I found switching over to be very easy and it took care of every aspect of the habit of smoking. Maybe thats why it truely works as a quit aid to smoking. It worked for me where nothing else did.

I know several people who have also quit smoking using the e cig…if you havent tryed it and want a safer way to smoke OR you want to give a stab at throwing them things away and completely switch over,,,this is for You!

p.s. Carla, the FDA have stopped shipments into the u.s. Im sure if you google it you will find MUCH info on them warning us this is not FDA approved. hmmmm…real cigarettes have 4000 chemicals in them per smoke….but the fda says its ok to smoke them because they’re legal. Make any sense? Its ALL about money i guess!
