what you are forgetting is that there are other options we can choose from. the iphone and the itouch have touch screen. nintendo ds has a stylus. iphone has an app store. users have wanted a second nub. when you don't deliver you feel ignored.

no one asked for a psp 4000. we asked for features. f#$k feeling alienated. you don't stifle innovation because it could "alienate" people. thats how you generate sales. if you came out with a psp2 (instead of a half assed psp1.1) with the features we want i'd sell my psp1 and go out and purchase psp2. no one wants this...

it is not dumb to exlude a second nub for psp go. a second nub is for psp 2. a second nub on psp go and/or a touch screen would alienate psp 2000-3000 users from games released with that ability. what you ALL are basically forgetting is that this is not psp 2. this is realistically psp 4000. dumbasses..... sigh.....

Awesome new handheld - but will Sony be able to knock Nintendo from 1st place? People have already pointed out that it still does not offer screen protection like the DS however the decision to scrap UMDs in this version is welcomed.

Well alright. I watched the video and now things make more sense. I guess it makes sense if you're leaving the 3000 as a stand along option, why not give people more of a choice. And it looks better in the video than it does in pictures, so I retract f***ing dumb and substitute it with uncomfortable.

Oh well. If its that light and still has a kick ass battery I guess its still a cool innovation. Nub nub nub.

There is no way this thing is real. There is no reason - I repeat, no reason - for the little semi circular "select" and "start" buttons next to the nub. Those could easily be placed above, and add a second nub next to the other nub. Nub nub nub.

I mean, look at the thing. "Start" and "Select" are never integral to game play, and can easily be placed higher on the game pad above the nubs. It makes no sense for them to occupy such prime real estate which could easily be taken by a second nub - which would allay so much of the criticism (unfounded, in my opinion) leveled against the PSP in the first place. If Sony actually releases such a device, I would be shocked.

The one reason it could work is if they truly intend for this to be another evolutionary step in the PSP genre, opposed to a new "PSP2" or whatever the next logical revolutionary step may be. I guess the advantage to this one is that all the games already out there can (probably) still be played on a normal PSP (assuming they're available for download). Of course, I'm playing devil's advocate, because that thing looks f***ing dumb.

Is SONY deaf or blind or dumb or all three?

Where is the touch screen? The iPhone has shown that touch screen is a hot item and people want that in a portable but you don't need a f***king degree to know that. You plan this to have a 10 year lifespan and you don't even look at the market trends!?!? Who is in charge of features for this department? What about community desired features like dual analog? SONY HERE IS THE SECRET TO MAKING SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTS: ...~listen to your customers~...

They really need to either increase the memory to more in the 40 to 120 gb range like the ipod and/or desperately need a memory stick drive, and the ability to use as cell phone and this thing would be f***ing awesome, and multiplayer support other the internet. But AS IS it is going to suck majorly.
