This is a new trailer for Mega Man 2.5D, a new version of the classic Mega Man currently in the works. It’s being built by designer Peter Sjostrand and looks like 15 pounds of amazing.

Oh my. Please watch this British video of the future of video telephones. It’s wonderful. If only we actual had video phones by now it would be great. That and the flying cars we were promised.

hulu_logoThe latest rumor circling around the Intertubes is that there might be a Xbox 360 Hulu app coming soon similar to the upcoming Hulu Desktop app. Is that something you would use regularly? Serious. How often would you use a native Hulu app on your Xbox 360? I know I would use it more than the Netflix app which lost my attention after the second movie I watched, but how about you.

Here’s a tip for you on this endless Friday: if you don’t want a computer virus then don’t search for lyrics. It turns out that the search term “lyrics” is a dangerous one, and carries a maximum risk percentage of 26.3 percent in McAfee’s little danger-o-meter or whatever. That is to say 26 out of every 100 Web sites that pop up when you search for “lyrics” may contain viruses, browser exploits, a boatload of pop-ups, and other Internet nasties.

210980561_003If you’re thinking of scanning all your old photos using a traditional flatbed scanner, let me be the first to tell you what a royal pain in the ass it is. I’ve done it a few times in my life and I put it up near the top of the list of things I don’t want to do, right underneath “helping someone move”.

Whether it was an intentional leak or someone just missed the “Private” button, we’re not sure – but for just a few hours today, a promo video for the as-of-yet unannounced HTC Hero found its way online.

Dell, a company that makes computers, is down 63 percent from $784 million last year, leaving them at $290 million in net income. Total revenue fell $12.34 billion.

Mr. Dell himself isn’t very worried – he expects a replacement cycle to hit with the launch of Windows 7. Market share fell 34 percent in desktop sales and 20 percent in notebook sales, leaving plenty of room for growth, I guess.

tigw10_online_scrn_fullscreenataddresssEA is going the online-only route this year for the computer version of the Tiger Woods golf franchise, called Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online. That’s good in the sense that it’ll be Mac compatible too, updates should be automatic, and you’ll be able to play from any computer.

Cecil Rhodes once said “to be born English is to win first prize in the lottery of life.” I know this because Ricky Gervais said it at the beginning of “The Rickey Gervais Guide to… The English.” Today, being born a English probably isn’t as great as it once was, but it does mean you’re able to watch Sky Sports’ coverage of the Premier League. And, starting in the fall, people in the UK and the Republic of Ireland—not that a Scot or a Welshman are English, mind you, but I needed a flashy opening—will be able to watch Sky content on their Xbox 360. That’s really, really great.

Wired seems to truly enjoy the new Garmin Forerunner 310XT, a follow-up to their popular 405 and 305 models.

Think the world has enough media streamers? Hells no. There is definitely room for the AMEX DIGITAL Venic-V38HD with it’s 2TB storage. The trapezoidal media player does about everything. It streams all major file formats off a local network (including AVI’s, Moxi), plays media files off USB drives, has a DVD/CD player – that’s about it. The only thing missing is a Blu-ray drive really.

The CandyFab 6000 is an updated version of the larger 4000 model and can make 3D objects out of sugar. It uses Arduino boards to control the fabricating arms and fits on a desktop.

We here at Crunch may use the Internet for fun little things, like Twitter or Spotify (I’ve tried the U.S. version—it’s pretty great), but it’s only a matter of time till the Internet becomes just another place where governments can fight each other. Cyberwar, etc.!

The UK has the world’s highest density of CCTVs, which are mainly used as tools to fight crime. But now an “international research network” called The Campbell Collabaration claims the 4.2 million cameras installed in that country almost have no effect. A pattern seems to slowly emerge.

hg77033a_spec1If you’re a stickler for clean floors (note: I am not) but you can’t afford a live-in maid to clean them every day (note: I can not) and you’re not afraid of robots (note: I am, deathly) then perhaps you need a Roomba.

Bad news for DirecTV subs. If you have been waiting, and waiting to upgade your old TiVo Series 2-ish DirecTV DVR, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. It was reveled in the quarterly earnings call that the DVR isn’t going to be available this year, rather sometime in 2010.

Wow, it seems that someone over at PCWorld.com couldn’t keep their mouth shut and announced the Alienware M17x a bit early. No matter, the most important thing is that you see what this baby has under the hood. It’s damn impressive and certainly allpowerful.

You’ve played other faux music games. You’ve seen the DJ controller. Now it’s time to see the E3 trailer of DJ Hero which proves one is the loneliest number.
