The brutal yearly schedule for Need For Speed games has produced some excellent ones (Wanted) and some dogs (ProStreet). Need For Speed: Shift looks like a good one, although it’s far more sim-ish than the ones in the series I’ve enjoyed the most. I failed real hard at playing this thing, believe me, despite the promise of a BMW M3 if I played well enough. Greg did a little better, and if you watch the video, you’ll understand just how bad I must have done.
By the way, for the record that’s the game getting all blurry, not my camera.

Can’t wait. That’s all. This is where Gran Turismo should have been 5 years ago.
Really dissapointing video guys. Clearly you know this, but the camera was blurry more than it was focused, and the guy driving has clearly never played another driving game before.. that’s the brake your looking for.
Hoping for a better hands on video.. guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.
OMG! cry about it…
It’s the game that’s blurry…. I noted that in the post. And braking is waaaay more simmy than other NFS games.
the camera wasnt out of focus, one of the features of NFS Shift is that when you crash or hit somehing the screen gets blury
It appears to have the problem that many racing games have had which I call “floaty handling syndrome” where sluggish handling that’s nowhere near what it really feels like to control a car makes it feels like you’re piloting a car on the moon.
HOLY !@#$ they freakin ripped me off! my damage looks nothing like that, my steering will be off, my windshield will be cracked, but my freakin dumper doesnt dent
