Alright, the PSP Go! is good to go just like we expected. The 3.8-inch screen, 16GB flash HDD, and slider design are all there. This new PSP isn’t designed to replace the current UMD-equipped generation, but rather live along side the PSP-3000. This boy is designed for those that want to give up physical media.
Content, including games, can be downloaded right off of Playstation Network and can now be managed on a PC via the new software dubbed, Media Go. Moving forward, all PSP games will be available on the Playstation Network and as a UMD. Plus, the media suite is getting an upgrade with the new program Sense Me.
The PSP Go! will be available on October 1st, 2009 for $249.

First!
It’s a little more laid back here than at Engadget, Chief.
oh wow first, what do u want a damn trophy!
What makes Sony think people would want something like this? Why not a PSP2 or at least put two analog sticks on it! Besides that mock-up with a big sliding screen from a few years back looks leaps and bounds better than this. At least I got my PSP-1000. Pass on this one.
I want one…..
but not at this price. Stupid move Sony. Seriously what were they thinking? its like the second generations of the PS3 all over again. No backward playback same price as the debut. As a loyal Sony buyer and proud owner of Record player, Video Camera, dSLR, PS3 60GB and PSP2000 I can say… this was stupid.
Take the price of the PSP2000 add the cost of 16GB of memory, and you have the price of the PSPGO. I don’t think it’s unreasonable.
Meh.
So, lemme get this straight. Now, when I blow my money on a crappy PSP game, I can’t even turn around and sell it? Lack of physical media is going to be very bad for consumers.
I hope all you UMD complainers are happy. You got what you wanted.
It looks like your thumb can push all four buttons at once. (OK maybe three)
This thing will lend itself exelently to the Homebrew world.
This New and Improved PSP Doesn’t Seem like a Big Deal, maybe a little better than the less than amazing Improvements to the Nintendo DSI. What a Disappointment after SUCH a Hype Campaign. Ummm . . But I still seem to use my Nintendo DS twice as much than my PSP
Hey MIKE What u doing here? how come you havent made a new video in a while?
they havent even hacked the psp 3000 yet, now we have to wait even longer to hack this one
I’ll stick with my PSP-1000 and pass on this one as well.
look cool who says it uglly they stupied
so will the psp go load faster than those stupid UMDs?
