It just doesn't have all the Pronto extra features like fully real-time delivery and texting. You won't have to mail it anywhere to upgrade. The new Peek Pronto is still eighty bucks. If you buy the $20 older Peek you'll have to either drop another $80 on the new device, mail in the one you have and pay for an upgrade, buy an upgrade cable and do the upgrade yourself or find someone who already has a cable and do the upgrade. It really could not be simpler or more convenient for staying in touch with your emails. I was wowed at first by the price being so low, and nervous that it would not perform as well as similar devices out there, but I have been pleasantly surprised.
