While we certainly don’t think that companies should just drop their prices when bloggers like us whine about it, the PSP Go really is overpriced and Sony won’t admit it. It’s similar to the PS3’s situation, and if Sony’s pricing on that thing is any indication, we’re not going to be seeing a PSP Go for under $200 for a long, long time.

Hmm, is that the same kind of growth you’ve predicted for the PS3 for the last couple years? The thing is, it would have made so much sense to position the Go at $199. It’s a little more than the regular PSP, but close enough that people on the fence are likely to go with the “cooler” new thing. $250 is going to scare people off pretty good.
Is Sony just okay playing a low-stakes game? Maybe they don’t really care about market share, and as long as they sell a couple of these things, they’re okay with that. But if they actually wanted to make a dent in the DS population, they need to take the hit and just make that thing cheaper.

With $250 I can get an arcade $199 xbox 360, a hard drive and possibly some cheap games, i saw halo 3 for 35 in my EB.
i rather have the new PSP. Xbox 360 is getting old, but the new PSP, NEW!!!! I like the design and how it fits ur hands perfectly. i tried it at the E3 Expo. it was awesome. i play Gran Turismo, and some other games.

I can’t see the PSP Go price having any impact on the PSP 3000 price, they’re just too far apart.

i find it funny how i know a lot more than a big company like sony. i’m not an idiot that denies the truth, they know that it’s overpriced, and they certainly know thousands of people complain about MAINLY and ONLY the price of the Go. it pisses me off when people deny the truth and fool themselves when they know they are in denial; they are only hurting themselves, but when i hear a company doing this, i just wonder what’s going on in the world that a big company isn’t even on the same level as a normal individual; so sad. i was a supporter of sony since i was young but this just makes me look down on theml, i actually feel superior over this multibillionaire company; who cares if they have the money? they can’t think.
It is a little bit over priced, but it has a better quality than the old models. The PSP 3000 lagged hard on my games so that really irritated me and reminded me of some old 19th century model. The new PSP Go has higher quality, better sounds, and a lot more. The hand positioning looks a lot more comfortable for the users, while the PSP 3000 made my thumb go numb after only playing it for several minutes. So I suggest you guys deal with their models instead of nagging on how much you hate it. If you think the price is too high wait 2 years retards and till then use your old models.
