Sleek Audio is up’n its game with the CT6 earphones. These ‘phones not only feature the interchangeable wireless technology from Kleer that made the SA6 model so attractive, but are custom made just for your ear. (Read: they are a tad pricey.)
It all starts with a trip to an audiologist to have molds made. After that, the ‘phones are handmade down in Florida where they are tailored to your listening style and ear’s physical shape. Plus, the company even lets you deck the earphones out with a custom graphic and gives you a range of color options for the them.
The whole process takes 2-3 weeks from start to finish and costs $350 or $450 with the Kleer wireless kit. Sure, these earphones might be out of some peep’s budget, but they are right in line with mid-to-high end earphones from other companies. But these are made just for you. Worth it? Probably.

Good design and hi tech . a great product, especially for those working out.
ok, time-out…
seriously, guys. when you mention the name of a company or product, don’t link that word/phrase to your own site’s tags. link to the company or product page!
if i want to know more of what your site says about it, or how many times you mentioned it, i’d rather click in a “tags” section, or just do a search. at the very least, put the product/company links at the bottom of the article… geez.
this becoming a super-annoying trend.
Looks awesome. Minus the wireless part though I imagine its just a warehouse of guys doing this:

dwalk, thought I’d clarify a few things for you. The CT6’s are all created by engineers that have hand-made over 500 custom hearing instruments. Impressions of the ear are sent in from certified audiologists and the entire earphone is made in Sleek Audio’s Florida based shell labs. The impressions are ground down and cleaned, then the shells are made and the speakers are custom tuned for each set and strategicall placed in the earphones. They are then sealed, buffed and tested. I’ve skipped a number of steps, but that’s the gerenal overview.
The reason Sleek Audio uses audiologists rather than do-it-yourself imrpession kits is because there is less liability for damage to the ear and the impressions are far more accurate.
Why thank you, I appreciate the thorough overview of the process, however I wasn’t being serious when I said I thought the people behind a reputable company were actually just making epoxy molds of peoples ears.
