We just got your Viliv X70 straight from South Korea and it’s a beauty. We’re going to play around with it for a few days and report back once we have a solid feel for the device. I’m dying to get my hands on one of these. The X70 Premium 3G is what I want for sure. I guess that I’m curious as to the video streaming ability from the built-in camera. What’s the resolution look like ? Is there an ideal config (camera, streaming provider, etc.) that will maximize this device ? Thinking of streaming my kid’s sports events for their grandparents to watch.
I did a bit of testing with this. Quality is good for a small PC. Ustream quality (especially if you use the dedicated FLV encoder option) should be excelent.
1.3mp cam works well with skype. Cyberlink YouCam software is pre-installed and can get in the way but seems to have little impact on the speed of the cam.
Just thought of this. With the AT&T 3G integration, I wonder if this device could work with the FloTV service running over AT&T Mobile TV. Add the ability to watch live programming anywhere and this is killer. With car entertainment systems having component inputs, you could add mobile TV to your existing entertainment systems.
Any ideas or thoughts ?
1. can I put windows 7 on it?
2. Does it have a RJ45 jack?

This would make a awesome deck unit in a car. Just needs radio and an add on dvd unit. Create a chassis to house the unit, ssd hard drive, and a dvd drive, and you could build the ultimate portable media unit for your car. This thing has massive expansion potential.

In all seriousness, though; looks like a solid UMPC. I had an Asus R2H, but couldn’t keep up with the fact that there was no really good software keyboard around. How is the X70’s?
Can’t wait to read the follow up on how well it runs versus the new Archos unit.
Does this sucker have Bluetooth? I would love to install one of these in my car. However, I really want bluetooth to pair my phone with it to take calls and such.
Otherwise that is just about everything I would want in a system for a car.
It has Bluetooth along with component and stereo audio out. It only takes like 7 seconds to boot Windows XP and has GPS.
This thing would be great in a car system.

What are the screen dimensions
It’s the Rolls Royce of all UMPC’s! It has USB interconnect between any laptops or UMPC. GPS is marvelous with Street Deck 2. Also, with 128Gb SSD, it’s fast, even more expansive, it’s faster and no noise=0 Noise! No fan, so for thoses reasons, the battery charge last a lot as 5 hours in Videos. 3G inside (simm card slot at the back of the battery). Put One Voice in it will play your songs and Videos telling. It’s a marvel…better than all around. Tell to your friends…sure they will buy it. I’m awaiting for mine this month. You can play loud and clear, high, good bass, middle are very fine too. You’ll be amazed and astonished of the state of the top. It is so silent, because nothing mechanical, no motors, no relays, no fan, no hard drive, that’s very very fast responding. Windows 7 is available for in Beta, it goes perfect as someone told me. You’ll get it for years, why buying something else less performant? Better pay $100. more and get this Marvel!

It will cost for the model 128 Gb SSD, GPS, 3G SIMM slot inside, the total with EMS or DHL or UPS will be: 315 Euros ( $425.USD) It’s cheap, because directly from the manufacture in South Korea, they bought 1000 BEFORE others bought, they have in stock since 4 days ago, it’s 5 days delivery delay.
