Here’s a big TV for under $400. Best Buy is selling its house brand 37-inch Insignia 720p LCD TV for just $398, down from $600.
Features: 37-inch LCD at 1366×768, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, three HDMI inputs, VGA input, two each S-Video/component/composite video inputs, built-in HDTV tuner, built-in speakers, and optical audio output.
The brightness and contrast ratio seem a tad low but other than that, this is a pretty enticing deal for such a big 720p TV.

By the time you buy a digital converter box at $69, your total, true price is back up above $400 at $467.
For those of you who don’t know, all broadcast TV is switching to HD in the next couple of weeks.
Ha ha you don’t need a digital converter box for this TV! It already has a digital (hdtv) tuner built in and can accept hdmi input.
The switch is to all digital broadcasting, not to HD.
oh …It’s cheap just $398 . Would like to order this item instead of my LCD TV . It almost takes over $800 at 37-inch LCD TVs.
