pspgo2

Here’s some new PSP Go info in case anyone wants to know. There will be three new features on the Go that aren’t available on the PSP-3000: Game sleep function, Bluetooth function, clock and calendar application. And PSP Euro Product Manager Adam Grant says the Go will have 3 to 6 hours of battery life for gameplay and 3 to 5 for videos.

* Game sleep function: You will be able to operate the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) while suspending the gameplay temporarily.
* Bluetooth function: This is going to let you use your favourite wireless head phones to listen to music, play games and watch videos….
* Clock and calendar application: We have included a clock and calendar application which can be viewed both when the sliding panel is open and closed.

  • this website is shit. does anyone even come here? there are like zero comments. plus u get butt rammed by s.jobs

  • fuck u sony, just upgrade this fucking shit, to a 10 hour minimun, how the heck wanna u beat ds durations….holy crap of plastic shit…

  • I was tensed up about the PSP Go! I really wanted to get one…but after the annoucment of the battery life….NOW THATS STUPID! Even the PSP-2000(if u hacked it) runs longer period of games using the Memory Stick. Well, guess that I should wait for the next PSP in 10 years time….hopefully by that time, Sony will shutdown due to bankruptcy…

    • There really no big difference from the 3000 and the GO, which makes me think, why make a new one?

It’s clearly being release due to constant hacking/ pirating issues with the pass PSP’s. Sony is being completely desperate for a buy now, and it isn’t going to happen with the PSP Go for that price sorry!

  • My mistake, not ‘will shutdown’ but ‘will not shutdown’.

  • I don’t see any reason to buy a PSP Go. Its about as exciting as the iPhone 3G S.

  • PSP Go! to me looks like a cut down version of the original. Its cheaper to get a PSP3000 and a decent memory stick, than the Go!

Hate the design, the concept and price

Given the software drought as well, I do wonder if Sony are taking the PSP format seriously.

I suppose they are driven by getting software downloads being bought, with no physical media. But the price point is as much as the physical thing, and then the downloads can’t compete with the likes of some online retails.

I definately think this is a PSP for non-gamers, trying to appeal to i-pod i-phone market. In respect of portable gaming, its going to be a DS rather than the PSP Go! that will be bought and the price point is going to a deciding factor.

Still, if the PSP2 happens and takes physical media, maybe a sony duo pro then I might be interested (The DS runs on small cards)

Otherwise I am looking after my PSP3000 and its hi-cap battery

I do think the PSPs so far, have been the most under-rated gaming platform. Not sure things will change with the PSP Go!

    • I just think that sony is trying to attract a different group of consumers who take portability as a major aspect in their decisions seeins as how the PSP-3000 does take up a lot of pocket space ans the PSP GO! will be more portable, both physically and gaming-wise (’cause who wants to carry all their UMD discs around?)

As far as games bough over the PSN, they will be the same price as physical copies MAINLY due to the fact that many retailers will not put up with DD being a lower price (thus attracting a larger consumer crowd)

So yeah, I still don’t see how its supposed to be more portable, more convenient at an even higher price, but more details remain to be released by sony :’(

I was thinking about getting a PSP GO! for its convenience but now im leaning more towards a PSP-3000 for two reasons

1.) DIssedia Bundle pack =D (and who doesn’t like their Final Fantasy)

2.)High price although the 16 GB Internal memory flash memory does seem inticing.I mean i can DL the games i want(even erase them and DL them again at no cost, and have music and videos in one system(though I have my iTouch for that).

Though by no means am I trying to stray people from it as it’s still under my consideration list

So go do your research people! And if worse comes to worse just wait untilll Sony’s official press release for more details.

P.S. One thing the site didn’t mention was possible blue tooth teethering =]]

      • Fck sony, and Fck square enix,
no PsP-3000/ Dissidia bundle for Canadian Fans??

im so angry. ive been waiting for this Bundle for soo long only to found out recently its only for US
        WHY!
im so angry im gonna raid USA
        here I come!

      • Hi,
I was just wondering if you by any chance knew if the psp go has a flashplayer buit in so that I watch videos online like on youtube without need to download the videos on my memory stick. Also is it possible to mod this psp go?
        thanks

  • How is this information? CG is getting better and better by the day… not! It’s becoming biased and annoying.

How can that be the title? I guess everyone understands right away this was about 3 new features on the PSP Go.

Before someone says it’s a blog and you can do selective reading, I’ll just delete CG from my bookmarks. Thank god there are plenty of other places to follow.

this is a piece of crap. the 3000 is good enough. sony should just make add ons for the 3000 or focus on games.the no umd is ok since the game cant break, but its inconvinient. the go is going to be the next gamecube. just buy a psp 3000 bundle

  • Fuck sony i can already do alll the shit in the video with my psp1000! >:(

    • The 1000 that I had broke, I couldn’t get on the internet (pspstore, or whatever you call it, either), when I played movies or games it would crash, and the battery lid never quite fit on right

  • im not sure man look if u wonder y ppl getin bad eye seein its bec da psp screem is 2 fk!! big k also da psp go is expensive bec da store wont make no $$$ bec u ppl buy games online dat y psp go cost a lot so some cash goes 2 stores 2

  • i have some questions i wanted to ask :
-what is exactly wrong with the battery?
-is psp go wireless to the internet?
-if u are getting a psp ,would u get the psp go or psp 3000+16 gb mwmory stick?
-hw much is the 16 gb memory stick?
    -does anybody have psp go?
-is psp 3000 wireless to the internet?

    thnx alot

    • To answer your questions:

      - The battery capacity in the ‘Go is less than the PSP 3000.
      - Yes, the ‘Go has wireless internet — EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE 3000
      - I would rather get the 3000 + 16gb MS Pro Duo
      - 16gb memory sticks can be had for less than $60 at a lot of places
      - The PSP Go is NOT OUT YET, so no, I don’t have one, and neither does anyone (read: consumer) at this time
      - Already answered above, but I will reiterate: YES

      You’re welcome…a lot. lol

  • I am confused with the size of the PSP Go… The screen size of an Ipod Touch is 3.5″ and the PSP Go is 3.8″!!! I think it will be too small for a gaming console!! It’s just a piece if shit that Sony decided to put onto the market in order to compete with the Ipod touch only!
From the available information concerning the PSP Go, it will cost approx. AUD $ 399.. It’s costing the same as the PSP 3000 ($299) + the memory stick ( $89) !

    Fucking Idea Sony!!!

  • My guesses are if sony has half a brain they’ll create a accessory that will add on to the battery life (e.g Battery pack or something). If not the PSP go is lookin down.. a lot. Is it just me or is it really small. I really wanted one when i heard about it… but now it just look really small.

  • Dudes. Psp is part of the seventh gen era. U know what that means i mean think about why would sony put psp 3000 out of fucking style so quickly so u know that ain’t gonna happen it’s like the same thing with Nintendo ds and dsi there both part of the seventh era. I mean psp series is still in the same era with the other next gen consoles. I mean if i got my psp 3000 january of this year. I was thrilled. I mean the 3000 bundles and the psp go are gonna be best sellers. psp 3000 is still probably gonna sit with the go in harmony on the shelf together like ds and dsi. But the latest versions of the series is gonna be psp 3000 and psp go. I’m sticking with my psp 3000 i just got a couple of months ago. So why would be a fool and go buy psp go anyway. I just bought dissidia pack! Lol and btw someone please tell me about dissidia’s online play ad hoc.

  • Actually the battery is the same. After researching, the battery life is the same a the 3000 (4-6 hours for gaming and 95-7 for videos). I want one now go PSP GO. the only bummer is that it’s not replaceable. this means if it stuffs up you gotta send it for repairs.

  • it rules psp 3000 have stupid wee disks psp go is da bom

  • Psh! PSP Go can Gofuckitself!

  • PSP 3000 is better lol. the PSP go is fail. i like how they are gunna keep the PSP 3000 going along with the PSP go.like, a PSP 3000 with a 16GB memory stick is like the hardcore version of the go, bigger screen, easier to use, and works exactly the same, if not better, same memory, same internet, better battery life, the only difference is the bluetooth, which is not at all like phone blue tooth, its just used to use the PSP as a PS3 remote, or to acess the PS3. im pissed i got one of these things, ima gunna return it and wait for the next one.
PSP go = portable gaming FAIL

  • HI THERE HOW CAN A 480 MHZ CPU GET BETTTER BATTERY LIFE THEN THE PSP-3000 USEING ONLY 333 MHZ CPU IMPOSSABLE GIVE ME A BREAK FASTER PERFORMANCE MEANS MORE POWER AND OH JUST WAIT UNTILL THE 2010 XBOX 360 COMES OUT THE 6 CORES BUT THE 32 GB SOLID STATE FLASH DRIVE WILL SAVE ENERGY SOO IT IS A WASH AND HAS 33% TO 50% GFASTER GAME PLAY AND AND LOAD GAMES 3 TIMES FASTER AND AND FASTER FRAMS PER SECOND AND SHOULD BE ALMOST NO FREEZE UP OR LOCK UP DURING GAME PLAY TOO JUST THANK GOD IT IS NOT USEING HARD DRIVE YOUR BATTRY WOULD LAST 30 TO 90 MINUTES OR LESS
