This is a good site, and I'll try to help but hardly an expert on the iPhone. You might be better off going to a forum dedicated to the iPhone or Apple - there must be thousands out there.

Uh oh, glad I saw this. I'm almost certain this device is *not* usable as a GSM phone, nor is there a space for a SIM card.

If its any consolation, you can probably use this as a VoIP phone when you have a WAN or WiFi connection.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday from buy.com. It's great. There's definitely a learning curve, and it doesn't come with a printed manual - just on-screen help - although you _can_ download a full manual in PDF from Nokia's web site. I was a little disappointed in the available applications until I figured out that you can tell it to show 3rd-party applications on the application manager. After that I was able to install all kinds of goodies and customize the device to be exactly what I wanted. At $179, it's a bargain for someone like me, who has a laptop and a desktop, but wants something small to keep in the car for occasional web access via wifi. It'll be great to be able to look at Craig's List, movie schedules, and check my e-mail from something that I can tuck in the glove compartment.
