How can you see it the first time?? Is so small that I wouldn’t notice.
It’s a 12MP camera, so the original image is pretty large at 4000×3000. I very much doubt you’d miss seeing that red dot at 100%.
Your article mentions a dead pixel yet your title states hot pixel. If you want to see your hot pixels take a long exposure of the night sky (or one with the lens cap on).

If you’re still having problems with this, the camera has a built in tool to fix. Go to:
Menu -> Settings -> Utility -> Pixel Mapping
