Avert your gaze! AT&T’s website served up a CAPTCHA image containing the F-word. The F-word!
An innocent man named Bill sent the above screen capture into Consumerist with the following message:
“Here is a rather unfortunate captcha I received tonight when I logged in to AT&T Wireless to check on the shipping status of my new iPhone 3GS.”
Maybe the CAPTCHA machine is exhausted by all the shipping status requests. “Awww, Q7FUCK! Another order status request?!”

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. That just made my day.
A CAPTCHA is usually a random series of letters and numbers (yeah, I know, sometimes they use real words from the dictionary; this does’t look like one of those). It’s our brains that turn them into words.
I’m skeptical….this would take 10s in photshop.
I would imagine that whomever wrote the captcha would have been smart enough to include a “banned” words list.
I’m gonna say fake. Not that I really care either way though.
