sleeve

File this one under “Ideas, Good” and wonder why is hasn’t been done before. Actually it may very-well have been done before but just in case it hasn’t, here’s a padded laptop sleeve that, when opened, provides a nice big mouse pad.

It’s presumably got some sort of hard-ish surface to provide a nice platform for your favorite human interface device. This one’s only available in Korea but perhaps some enterprising laptop sleeve think tank here in the US may take notice. Or maybe an enterprising importer.

The sleeve comes from Artmu and is available in black, pink, and red, and in 10-, 13-, and 15-inch sizes for the equivalent of around $15, $17.50, and $20, respectively.

  • Interesting concept, not sure how good it would be for practical use. It seems like the user’s arm rests directly on top of a zipper and that would be very uncomfortable in the long run I think.

Also it appears the case has no storage for the mouse.

Still, an interesting concept to build off of.

  • My pants leg also features a built in mouse pad.
