You did know that Apple announced a new iPhone right? Yeah, it’s called the iPhone 3G S, where the S stands for Speed. So are you going to get it? There have been pics filtering in from tipsters all morning showing fanboys lined-up, waiting for their chance to get the latest and greatest from Apple. But are you one of them? Or are you avoiding Apple, and AT&T, as you would a coughing pig?
Are you buying an iPhone 3G S

I would vote…but “Yes, I’m waiting for my pre-order to be delivered by UPS right now.” Is not an option.
Naaa, I got a 3G back in December and am perfectly happy with it. I could upgrade (another line) and give my 3G to one of my kids but I am going to wait until next year when the 2010 version comes out.
Love the iPhone, not AT&T. I’ll consider getting one once it is available on another carrier. I also hope the FCC (though unlikely) will prevent future exclusive deals. (http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/06/17/u_s_senators_ask_fcc_to_examine_exclusive_cell_phone_deals.html)
Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS….Waiting for UPS………………………..Waiting for UPS….
51% say “Maybe or No”? Interesting feedback….
Finaly! Now to charge, maybe I’ll skip the full charge step and just plug it in to iTunes now?
The iPhone 3G is ’slow’ and the extra speed would be nice, however the price to upgrade does not align with my desire to upgrade. I’m was also underwhelmed by the lack of new features on the phone. This really is just an evolution product.
So…. what new features will be in iPhone 4.0? I’m hoping for a better screen and a better camera. You can see my wishlist on my blog at… http://zooboingreview.blogspot.com/2009/03/iphone-30-wish-list.html
No,
I will wait until my O2 contract is up for renewal (fed 2010) and a newer version will probably be out
Now will that be the iPhone 3G S2m or iPhone 3G T ;-)
Anyway, i have to say the speed of my current iPhone 3G seems to have had a significant boost with the 3.0 OS update.
Now if O2 could just reduce the cost of Tethering i would be chuffed. £15 extra for 3GB is a bit steep. How about 1GB for a fiver?
Pretty sure it’s “Waiting for FedEx” everyone. Apple doesn’t use the brown guys.
Mine came from Apple by UPS. The wife’s came by Fedx from AT&T about two hours before mine. She had far too much fun razzing me about getting hers first.
We both had first gen iPhones, the upgrade has been great and well worth the money.
A very real jump in performace in every way.
Nope…3.0 is fine until they get the new features working. By then the next version will be out and the s will be 1/2 the price.
