(Note: this is a really sad post, so just skip it if you’d prefer to avoid that type of thing.) Everyone should now add Pixar to their list of companies they Don’t Hate. There was a little girl in California who was suffering from a rare type of cancer. She had only a few days left in her when her mother called Pixar. You see, the little girl, Colby Curtin, age 10, wanted desperately to see the movie Up.
And this, friends, is why we should put Pixar on the list of companies that deserve our praise. When the company heard about the situation, it immediately sent the girl a copy of the movie on DVD along with stuffed animals of the movie’s characters.
The little girl passed away a few hours later.

not going to cry…
not going to …
aw, darn it…
i know… :(
They didn’t just send a copy of the DVD, they *hand delivered it*.
And the representative from Pixar that brought it to show her took it back with him. (But he did leave all the schwag for her.)
Also is a sad story ’cause the movie was not worthy
Don’t be a jerk.
I second Peter …
I third… it was a cute movie
This post isn’t to bad.
The story you link to though…holy cow! I was crying in three paragraphs.
Rest in peace little girl. That damn cancer won’t bother you anymore.
sad ….cry .
I hope it’s not a commercial move
It wasn’t. They didn’t want publicity for it in the first place and have refused to comment on it at all.
That is sad. Sad that it was a DVD, when if they were a truly good company, they would have sent her a Blu-Ray.
Um, I don’t think she was looking for 1020p and 7.1 surround sound .. just a chance to see the movie … and they reacted very quickly to get a pre-release DVD to her … so your post is a bit strange and I think misses the point …
Um, it was a joke. This is a tech site, if you didn’t notice! It was indecent of me to make fun of a sad/beautiful occurance, but I believe sir, that perhaps your humor circuit has malfunctioned!
No my humor circuit is just fine, as is my compassion circuit. Jokes at the expense of a dead kid … not funny. You should probably look for another story to demonstrate how witty you are.
