I love this mousepad. So much that I might marry it.
My desk is set at a height that standard gaming mousepads elevate my mouse just enough to cause wrist strain. But this one is is paper-thin and almost becomes part of the desk. There is just a slight difference between the desk’s surface and the pad.
Just last week, I purchased a Logitech G5 gaming mouse. It didn’t impress me that much and my hand hurt from 12 hours of usage. But the Razer Sphex mousepad fixed all my problems. I’m totally happy with the G5 now.
Anyone that’s used a high-quality gaming mousepad knows that they do make a huge difference in mouse tracking versus using your desk’s surface. If you haven’t tried a one, please do not say that your mouse does just fine on your desk alone. There is a night and day difference.
This pad is slightly different than other ones as it’s a large, widescreen-shaped surface. It works great with my dual monitor setup, but some might experience a slight learning curve at first thanks to the shape. It’s also large at 12.5-inches long by 9-inches tall. But because it’s so thin and adheres to the desk’s surface, it really doesn’t matter. It doesn’t get in the way at all.

This pad is totally worth the $15 MSRP. I would even say that it’s worth more than that. At least it is to me as a person that’s always wanted a cool kid’s gaming mousepad, but couldn’t get one to work. This is the best mousepad solution available, in my opinion. Even if you don’t game, but you use your mouse all day long, it’s worth it to spend $15 on this pad.

Wow, I was looking around for a mouse pad lately, this looks like the perfect companion for my Deathadder. Right now i’m using a piece of cardboard as my mouse pad since the laser doesn’t track through my glass desk ;)
If I were to not have this mousepad I’m afraid I’d have to start smashing up the entire contents of my desk in frustration at having lost yet another match of Quake Live – when I could have had the 2.73 percent increase in accuracy that this obviously excellent mousepad offers!
Gotta admit, the mousepad that came with my XPS computer was surprisingly nice…makes a huge difference…but it’s very oddly shaped and has an annoying frame to it that makes it take up much more space than a mousepad should. ANYway…would love to try this one out. =)

I had some beautiful “Nokia” (sic!) freebie mousepad it was sticking like a glue (literally) when i wanted to move i musted scrape fragments of it. On other site it was slick like a glass. Because of this it was destroyed quickly :] Next one was some cheap sh** someone gave me. As soon as i got brand new A4Tech X750MK (small laser mouse) i find out that it looses track on both the destroyed nokia mouse pad and the cheap one. So now i’m left with a piece of cardboard sticked to the table with chewing gum. But it works! ;)
Oh and the mouse is connected to my lovely laptop that travels in backpack… which barely fits him :] I don’t need whole backpack i just need something to keep my box from damage, and jealousy passers-by.
So new mousepad and nice sleeve would be great for me ;)

Well everyone knows that the mouse lives on a mousepad and i just got an G9 from amazon for 30$ and it needs a mousepad. So basically my mouse is homeless right now.
I usually have my wife bend over and I use her back for my mouse. I think that this mouse pad will make it easier on her back. The thick ones just slide off. This one looks like it will do the job.

This is Obama’s America. Every mouse should have a pad. Mine’s been without one for so long. We’re on the Habitat list, but how long it takes!
I need them because my employer is too cheap to replace the mousepad that my co-worker stole from me forcing me to provide my own instead. This would be a great replacement so I can take mine back home where it belongs.

I’ve had the same crummy Dell plastic mousepad at work since I started. It absorbs my sweat or skin oils or something and starts to get this nasty film after a while, it’s basically a testament to how disgusting I am.
Apparently I need a “true” mouse pad (like the Sphex} to experience all my new Logitech G9 has to offer.
I just today got a new wireless mouse and am amazed at the difference compared to my old wired laser mouse. If the Sphex works as well as your review leads me to believe, the experience should be taken to another level entirely. Can’t wait!
