This is breaking news in the tech world!??!?!?!?!?

Man, I’ve been doing this since 1984.

Two points:
1) His design is stupid. There’s no pipe as cross pieces (at least in the front) and the shelves will be subject to torquing and failing with any real weight.
2) Josh: two words: Plastic Bends. You need at least 3/4in plexi to get anywhere near the same strength as 1/4in glass and any weight will cause the plexi to bend… a lot. Plexi is pretty expensive too… price a 4×8 sheet of 3/4in plexi.

Books? I laugh at your face! All the in-crowd people have a Kindle and go and read at Starbucks so everyone cans see how damn ‘in’ they are! After all, thats crowd that Kindle appeals to.

PVC + Plexiglass = Cheaper/lighter solution. Plexiglass doesn’t break as easy as glass either.
