Why you are saying so. I have buy this laptop for about approximately 3 months. I was never got that problem. From my opinion, this laptop is quite cool compare than the others. Its not easy to become overheating compare to the older version and even branded manufacture. So, base on the design, price and the perfomance given it was a great a perfect combination and affordable too.

wow really it played Sims 3?! I want to get the game but I am not sure if it would work on this laptop. Were the graphics good? And the game-players?? >_<

i bought one from best buy and it great i love it. The techs on this laptop are good enough for a 800 or 900 dollor laptop it play my sim 3 game great its fast i recmmend it!

I went to Best Buy hoping to see when they would get these and was surprised to see that they already have the cheaper one (and they had had it since last Friday) for $479.99. I’m nearly positive that I’ll be getting one once I pull the money together. Thanks for the heads up, Crunchgear.

Tech-Freak Stuff,

These are not a netbooks. These are real low-end full sized laptops. These will play HD video, Atom N270 netbooks struggle with that. You can buy a low-end netbook (e.g. ASUS EeePC900HA) for around $250 USD, half what the cheapest of these cost.

That said, these look pretty tasty. Too bad we can’t get Gateway in the country where I’m living now. If you’re considering these have a look at the latops offered by Emachines (now owned by Acer).

If you plan on running Windows 7 on these and you need XP compatibility mode, you better check if the processors that come with these supports hardware virtualization support.

A netbook with 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive and an ATI Radeon graphic card only for 500$ is a steal. Please give some more information regarding Which countries are going to start shipping it and When? when will it be available in India? And for purchasing it, how should we prove that we are students?
