Get some sweet, sweet Palm Mojo early. It’s basically the SDK for WebOS and it just showed up on the interwebs. Most interesting, however, is the lengths folks will go not to anger the Palm Gods:

Currently, no word on whether or not Palm is okay with this, and we can’t imagine that they are thrilled, so download at your own risk. Depending on how this one goes, we may have to pull all the links if Palm requests (we’re all for the sharing of information, but we want to help Palm, not destroy them). If they feel leaking the SDK early is only detrimental to them as a company, then we will remove the URLs.

A torrent of the new SDK is here and this post has more sources.

  • Considering the brighter side of this, we can conclude that application designers with start working on creating applications, even before the OS launches..Good for PALM! Why wouldn’t it like this idea?

  • Palm won’t like this because they can’t charge you for an over-priced “developer” phone like the situation with Android.

U.S. MBA’s have no idea how to maximize product potential. I know many people who refuse to move to a smart phone because of the predatory locked-in over-priced plans and outrageous data costs. I’m one of them.

Anyone who tells you the providers need this level of revenue to pay for infrastructure is clueless. Here in S.E. Asia the infrastructure is as good or better in the U.S., the rates are far less, and the providers are flourishing. The only exception to this is when the iphone appeared. It carried an outrageous contract and data rates were ridiculous. Needless to say, you don’t see many iphones around here as a result. Far fewer anyway than if they weren’t so greedy.
