About that Android-based Nokia touch-screen device the Guardian was squawking about; it’s not true, says a Nokia rep by the name of Joseph Gallo.
re: Nokia’s rumored Android phone and you can quote me on this: We (Nokia) are NOT making an Android smartphone. Symbian is our platform of choice when making smartphones.

At least Nokia is smart in one department.
And what would that be?
I don’t really care either way, but it is interesting how people got quite excited at the thought of Android on Nokia phones. An opportunity lost perhaps?
Not going to happen. At least not in the foreseeable future …which includes September ;)
I think Nokia is not going to take a U-Turn to Antroid as they have already invested too much in Symbian Foundation.. But they must consider switching to Android if they want to dominate the smartphone market . They believe in driving straight and thats not always right
I guess nokia will NOT be getting into the smartphone market, since symbian is anything BUT smart…. kind of a waste of energy.
