Funny you should say that, Brent. The original concept for The Dig came from Steven Spielberg. I can't remember what the exact story was.... Either Steve and George were too busy with other movies, or they didn't feel the special effects technology at the time could do the story justice in live action, or they thought it would be too expensive.... So George let LucasArts make it into a game instead. :)

Frankly I don't trust anyone's opinion on video games if they are not familiar with classic LucasArts point and click adventure games.

If you haven't played Fate of Atlantis you shouldn't be a games journalist. Simple as that.

Soooo, that was the big announcement, aye LucasArts? Ah well. I LOVED The Dig back in the day. Always thought it would be great material for a big budget sci-fi flick.

This is round 1 of releases. They really only released the largely popular titles. I think the games like yoda stories will come only after they realize how many people are ready to buy all these classic games again.

I mean I bet they never though you would profit off of Indiana Jones and the last Crusade 18 years later.

Fate of Atlantis and Loom are both amazing games.

However I will also be purchasing Last Crusade and the Digg as they were both very enjoyable point and click adventures.

What I really want is this to turn into the rebirth of legit LucasArts adventure games. Frankly its nice that they are bringing back special editions and such but what I am more interested in is someone besides telltale making one of these games.

The Sam and Max series is fun and I am sure so will the Monkey Island series, but I want a brand new IP that will bring LucasArts back for real.
