I've been looking for an in-car monitor solution for my laptop. This is right on. You can have your music, GPS, even mobile internet right at your fingertips...

For me, the secondary display a lot useful too, because everyday i feel like having a second screen on the right side, so i dont depend on current screen too much, especially on light entertainments.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it.

I would use it in a heartbeat. I have rainlendar and coolmon which run on my desktop, along with my trash bin icon. Nothing else. If I moved them to the usb display I would never have to minimize my work in order to view simple information.

Honestly, this would be extremely useful for some of the current Windows Home Servers, like the HP MediaSmart series... they don't have a graphics card, so if for whatever reason you can't connect to the box via the network, you're SOL.

Part of the benefit of this type of screen (and reason for the high pricing) is that they have an inbuilt graphics chip, so plugging it in puts almost zero performance hit on your system.

"I am not really sure who’d need a secondary display of this size"?
Seriously?
Instant messagers? Twitter or RSS feed? Major League Baseball Game Day?
This little thing has tons of uses.

$100 is a bit steep for these, the price will come down.

How do they configure with your desktop? Like an extended desktop, so they still will get covered by expanding windows?

Someone buy me one and I'll tell you how.
