Im honestly left wondering at the sheer number of people pouring praise onto the curse client here, I can't be the only person experiencing problems with the Curse client as the support forums clearly show the problem exists for others, many other forums I have browsed have also had users complaining vociferously about curse client problems. To be honest alot of the comments here sound like hired bloggers hyping up the curse client with absolutely no criticism of this "wonderfull" client... I wish I could have that client! xD But my personal experience is of a slow loading, error prone, hashed together non native look and feel mac client that fails to detect quite a few addons, the minion beta has had more success at finding all my addons, although it has problems installing them just now (thats a mac specific bug at the moment that has been reported and is due to be fixed), but it already seems to be alot better programmed, especially with the whole modular system, considering how young it is I don't think it has long at all to become competitive with curse. And I've never had wowmatrix delete an addon before, this sounds like FUD to me. Alot of WoW players wish wowmatrix was still as it was in its heyday, just as many have warned against curse client, and not many know about Minion yet. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see what happens in the "WoW addon client" wars. xD

We can't be using the same software on Mac. I've been using Curse Client for a year or so and it's been working perfectly. Can't recall a single crash. Better yet, it doesn't require premium accounts yet to be ad free.

MMOUI's Minion is rubbish though. At least at its current iteration. I have high hopes for it, but it has a long way to go to be at Curse Clients level.

And finally WoWMatrix worked usually fine, but had a habit of deleting addons for me and cause other problems.

I am glad to see curse is finally updating their client. I have a few problems with the curse client though that I feel worth mentioning. Currently on Mac the curse application is seriously bug ridden, with errors popping up randomly for a long time now that are still trying to be fixed. ( http://www.curse.com/forums/5299.aspx )Their client as it stands currently is just not good enough on the mac to be considered usefull, maybe v4 will fix that.
But more importantly is the problem of the stance that curse seems to be taking, they should have updated the client ages ago, and I cant help but feel they have only been spurred into action because of the recent introduction of MMOUI's Minion client.

http://minion.mmoui.com/

Which in itself was only created because of the WOWMatrix fiasco when both www.Curse.com and www.wowinterface.com cut off WOWMatrix from downloading updates from their site.

Sadly the current state of affairs in the WoW mod community is making everyone lose, WOWMatrix is by far the best and easiest updater client out there for all platforms (including linux) but it is unfortunately now limited in its range of addons, this has left all other parties involved scrambling to create their own clients while leaving users frustrated and having to wait for several months for functional clients to be created. Instead of working together as MMOUI is trying to promote with its clients modular system, Curse seems intent on fracturing the community yet more when all people want is a simple way to update all their mods quickly from one place, regardless of any particular website affiliation.

It is too bad that they are offering a pay version of the much better WowMatrix, which is available for free.

I have been incredibly impressed with the quality of Curse Client. It's a really nice piece of work. The WoW addon community has some very talented coders.

I've been using the Curse client myself for quite some time. Looking forward to the new version. Hopefully it's just as streamlined as the current v3.0 that I use on my pc now. Thanks for the review m8.

I agree that having this add on is great. I can focus on having fun. I'm excited for the new client to be available for download.
I would like to share how we can maximize online gaming fun. I saw it in article. Nice one.
