I looked at this product (backupmax) few months ago - website: backupmax.com and found their product to be very interesting. I have had their backup software on two systems for 5 months now, and they work great. Also, they provide security features and ability to track stolen laptops...nice! I am going to put their software on my office laptop soon.

I use an ioSafe HD at home on my wife's laptop running Rebit Software - it's awesome! Fireproof, floodproof, CDP, bare metal restore and protects my wife's machine from HD crash and accidental deletions. We bolt the ioSafe to the floor too so the tornado can't run off with it - ha!

I backup my important documents to two separate external harddrives that are then stored away for safe keeping. One on my desk and one in a cheap fireproof safe.

I use Acronis software or just copy and paste. Really depends on how much I want to save.

I have about 10 years of family photos and work documents that I need to save so it's essential for me to do this.
