In honor of Chrome OS, here BusinessInsider has collected a nice selection of obscure old operating systems that basically died on the vine.
Take BeOS, for example. Be was one of the most amazing OSes I’d ever seen, especially in about 1995. Then there were real clinkers like Inferno and Arthur, OSes that tried valiantly to fill holes that weren’t there. Interestingly most of these still are in production somewhere, idling away waiting for the right time to become sentient and strike.

I had high hopes with this link for photos of nostalgia . But no mention of windows 3.1 or from computers like the Apple ][, Atari, TRS-80, etc.
Actually they forgot Windows Mobile too
Ah yes, Windows Mobile, that complete failure with only 11% of the market, compared to Apple’s fabulously successful 8% of the market. I love what passes for informed commentary on the Internet.
Come to think of it, that picture above looks like it might be a screenshot of the new WM7
I was really expecting a list with some great screen shots but that was too much to expect I guess. Maybe next time. http://ziggytek.com/
click on the link provided you lazy piece of scrotum!
hell you provide a link to your crap and expect people to click it don’t you?
Ah, BeOS. It really was the tits. I remember running a beta on a UMAX S900L (whoah! Remember Mac Clones!?) It was awesome. I waited forever for it to go official. Then word dropped that it was performing better on Intel platforms which bummed me out but I held on to hope. Then it just went vapor. Weak.
LOL. Remember OS/2 Warp? Heh.
