BGR has some news on the new BlackBerry Storm AKA the 9550. The new phone will have a non-clicky screen and include Wi-Fi this time, making one of BlackBerry’s worst phones a bit more bearable. Some specs:

▪ Quad-band GSM/EDGE
▪ Single-band UMTS/HSDPA (2100MHz only)
▪ Wi-Fi b,g
▪ 3.2 megapixel camera
▪ 360×480 resolution capacitive screen
▪ OS 5.0
There is also talk of a 3G Storm for AT&T and Rogers.
Even with the new features it’s still a horrible thing to use.
Why would someone buy a Storm when the Storm 2 exists??
Actually I have a Storm and I love it. Especially with the new Firmware. Kind of harsh to call it one of the worse phones. Once you get used to the click screen its hard to use a phone without it.

The click screen is a headache for a good two days, but one turns pro in a hurry. This is kind of how all phones work, I feel. Caught a glimpse of a Storm 2 at Taqueria Los Charros in Mountain View and she was pretty. iPhone like thin.
Reading some of the sites, i’m glad I didn’t bother with getting a Storm. Love my BB Curve.
Meh. Too little, too late. You would have to do a pretty good overhaul to get this thing back on the radar. Just isn’t worth the effort in my opinion. But then again, if you could make the Storm everything, realistically speaking, that people wanted it to be pre-launch, then you could probably have a serious product on your hands. People loved the Storm and went crazy over it pre-launch. Just get an iPhone and set them side by side and compare them. The iPhone is hugely successful whether you like Apple or not. You might want to take some pointers from them.
