High-end portable DVD players are a scam. I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. Sure you can pick up a Walmart special for $75, but those $200 models just don’t make sense when most people already have a notebook with an optical drive and a larger screen. But notebooks get hot and you might not want your little ones holding it for hours during a road trip. Enter the CradleVue.

cradlevue2The product probably doesn’t need much explanation past the picture. It holds your notebook vertical so the backseat riders can watch a movie, play a game, or use Excel without actually holding said computer. It’s only $24.99 too. My only concern would be for the screen hinge getting worn out with all the bouncing around inside the car.

  • Clever idea, with the right price too.

Make sure to pick up an adapter for the power though, as most notebooks battery won’t last long enough, especially if you’re watching the movie from the DVD in the optical drive.

  • My blonde bimbo American house-wife bought this to use in our S-U-V so our fat spoilt American kids can watch American Idol episodes while my dumbass wife blows me in the front on long road trips.
