Verizon confirmed in an analyst conference call that the Palm Pre, the little smartphone the could, will be available on Verizon’s network between Q1 and the end of Q2 next year. This should come as a relief to people who are waiting to ditch their Blackberry Storms for Palm’s new offering.

There’s not much more info than that: they just said it would happen. This confirms rumors that the Pre would break out of its pen at Sprint sooner than later and could mean new Sprint models coming running Palm’s WebOS.

  • comon biggs… why are you such an apple titty guzzler? you a hater “the little smartphone the could” check your spelling… you probably never took time to play with the pre and let me tell you cards are amazing..

  • I wonder what this means for the possibility of a Verizon iPhone? I guess a Pre is the next best thing though. (not trying to be a fanboy people, I just really like the iPhone, shocking I know! why people jump down throats because someone likes a product or a company IDK.)

  • I wonder if Verizon will find a way to cripple the WebOS software. They’re usually known for their horrendous software and this will be nothing from Big Red. http://ziggytek.com/

  • Go get the Pre from Sprint then idiots. You realy haven’t either tried Sprint yourself or haven’t tried them in the last 3 or 4 years. I have it and it is Incredible and Sprint Service is second to none and far Cheaper then both ATT and Verizon. Don’t be a nimrod go get the Pre on Sprint. You do know that if Sprint somehow is not getting a good signala dn you think Verizon is better, Sprint you can make ROAM on Verizon and get your precious Verizon service but for cheaper through Sprint. Best of Both worlds !!

  • Good things do come in small packages. The Pre is a well packaged design and connects to the fastest network in the country. I get my kicks challenging all of my iphone friends to download a webpage at the the same time as my Pre. I leave them in the dust and the bewildered look on their face is precious. The iPhone is also a great phone but the overall cost to operate clearly goes towards the Pre and I like hanging on to my money.
