Saw this coming a mile away.
Considering how paranoid and bitter Nintendo is about piracy (just look at the N64, they gave up FF7 just so it wouldn’t be disk based and thus harder to pirate) I wouldn’t be surprised if their main reason for creating the DSi was to make a firmware upgradable DS just for the sake of blocking hacks.
Time to play cat and mouse all over again just like Sony did with the PSP a few years ago.
I assure you there will be update after update after update every time the flashcarts are updated to work again.
