Netbook + mouse = Newton Mogo Mouse for netbooks

Is this not the most impressive thing you have ever seen? It’s the Newton Mogo Mouse, a mouse for netbooks. Very fancy.

So the mouse sits in a little holder-thing on the exterior of your netbook. (It charges in said holder-thing.) Then, when you need access to the mouse, you merely pop it out and have the time of your life.

It uses Bluetooth, as you might expect, being a wireless mouse in the year 2009. It’s $99.

I don’t know, I’ve never used a netbook, nor will I ever, so I don’t know how much using an external mouse would improve the whole user experience.

Neat, I guess, if you’re in the market for just such a device.

  • I can imagine it would be like trying to use a slice of craft singles for a mouse. Not very good.

  • $99 for a mouse used with a $200 computer?

    I don’t think so.

  • And not to be the bearer of bad news, but there aren’t many existing netbooks that support bluetooth at this point. None of the HP’s show they support bluetooth and it’s strapped to one rotfl !!
    Interesting.

  • One hundred dollars…. Yea. Fucking. Right. That is a goddamn joke. I might pay $50, but even that would be a lot.

Look, its simple, you’ll sell more if they’re way cheaper and you’ll make more money. You won’t sell as many at this price or anywhere near it, and so you won’t make as much money as if they were cheaper. C’mon! I’m not even in business and I know this. This would normally be a $20-$30 mouse but because of the bluetooth I suppose you could put it at $30-$50, $50 would be pushing it even then though. $100 is just hilarious and thats coming from a person who spent $75 on a mouse that isn’t even all that special, its mostly just cool looking.

    Morons.

  • I have a netbook w/ bluetooth and I have the regular version of this mouse for my laptop and it is the best mouse I’ve ever had! you’d be surprised how comfortable this thing is. I’m dying for it to come out for the netbooks! 100 $ is steep, but I’ll probably do it knowing how great it works.
