When you get home from work today, or get out of bed, the Xbox 360 Dashboard update will be ready to go. (I’m holding out on updating for a few days; I’m no man’s guinea pig!) It’s pretty exciting.

Again, the highlights:

• Games on Demand. Download full Xbox 360 games to your hard drive.

• There’s a Marketplace for Avatar accessories and clothes and whatnot. Go ahead, waste your money on a virtual wardrobe.

• Better Netflix integration, including Party Watch. Watch a movie with your friends, and trade really clever lines back and forth.

Those are the big ones, I do believe.

  • I updated, don’t understand the excitement though, game downloads are the good bit and they’ve been inevitable for long enough to not be anything like exciting…people kept sending me messages about the “big update”, but it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. I guess the ‘veterans’ idea might be interesting…the UI improvements are a disappointment though…oh but sorting friends is good…all-in-all it’s kind of meh…360 is getting a bit boring tbh, can’t wait for the next generation.

  • I agree with Jonathan

  • There are some good things about the update but i think that there was more hype than what actualy came out. Maybe the next gen will bring more excitement for me:(

  • hoooray, time to spend money on new kicks for my avatar.. like some steampunk headgear… oh wait.. its 260 MS points… what does that equal again?

    Bastards!
