I considered it a sure thing when we first wrote about it back in July, but in the Apple reporting spirit (that is, writing about things we have known for a long time), here are some pictures and video showing what appears to be an iPod Touch with a camera on the back.
Looks pretty real. Of course, these things almost always turn out to be fake, and let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be that hard to drill a hole in the back of an iPod and put an iPhone camera in there. Why does it even matter, really? We know the camera is real, what does it matter if there’s one floating around out there? I’m having an ennui attack here. I’d better get some dinner, I think I have low blood sugar. It might be Apple fatigue, though.

I don’t think anyone cares about the ipod touch.
lol
You’re wrong about that statement. Although, I’m pretty confident that no one cares about your blanket statements.
To be honest, I could really careless if the next generation iPod touch has a camera. I suppose it would be a cool add on. But 99.999% when I have my iPod, I have my cellphone. Which obviously has a camera, so big whoop, who cares about a camera. All I really care about is larger capacity! Come on, I have 35GB worth of music, the 32GB taunts me. Taunts me I tell you!
You obviously cared about his blanket statements enough to reply.
Seriously, if you’re going to go the extra mile to troll someone who leaves a response like he did, at least make it seem like you’re smarter or funnier than he happens to be.
They made such a big deal with iPhotos 09 about adding GPS location to photo info. Don’t you think they add that also?
Les
Only problem with GPS is most of the time you need data to make it work. Unless Apple puts all the map data on the Touch.
Um, no you don’t. GPS is just coordinates, numbers, nothing more.
GPS navigators, or the iPhone and other cellphone navigators use maps to make it easier for someone to visualize those coordinates, but when taking a picture, all that’s stamped to the metadata is the latitude and longitude, and sometimes altitude. Just a string of number, which iPhoto would then translate to place a pin on a map.
