Pre-thinking brings us the latest Tamara Hope Pre Ad with young Tamara talking more to her Pre than directly at us.

Interestingly, Tamara looks much better when she isn’t Palm’s ghoulish Pre homunculus. Click through for a pleasant surprise.

  • Actually, I like her better in the ads.
In there she looks like she has more class.

  • I think she’s pretty I don’t know why ppl don’t like her ,

    • cause the commercials look like Tampon ads. That said it’s not her fault. She’s an actor. i think people get that. But She’s not exactly Shakira or say Catherine Zeta Jones the Tmobile spokewoman. But it’s more a disgust with the commercial then her.

      • i wouldn’t really even want to see Katherine zeta jones or shakira or anyone super famous that are plastered all over everything. that’s why i like her. she’s not that famous, never heard or seen her, and she has a more “girl next door look”, not a “oh. my. god. that woman is way out of my league!” ha-ha!

I am an advertiser so I know, for a commercial series to be successful, it must be somewhat weird or annoying. otherwise it looks like all the other stuff, which we’ve seen so many times it just goes by our eyes unnoticed. I think of jack Nicholson as the joker in the 1st batman: “crap, crap, crap, more crap…stop the press!” ;)

of course, the product has to be good, too. but it definitely causes a strong reaction in most people, good OR bad.

thanks for listening to my long winded response.

        • thank you for that response, I was getting rather annoyed when people started hating her as a number of people have mentioned that I look alike to her. :)

  • Her presence is sort of curious and invites attention, which is good in a way. But they better start pumping out more feature-description advertisements like this, something to really differentiate themselves.

  • What was Palm thinking? The ads really killed their momentum.

  • Palm needs more ads showing the features of the Palm Pre and not the girl talking nonsense about her phone reading her mind. These ads were getting really annoying. At least this one is a little toned down. http://ziggytek.com/

    • we don’t need a bunch of features commercials. those are boring and just like the rest of the mundane, mediocre ads.

i know these palm pre girl ad’s are completely different from any other ad i’ve seen. that’s the artistic genius the appeals to sophisticated viewers. if they want a bunch of ’stats’ they can easily Google the damn thing, ha-ha. (i love her <3.)

  • All they need to do is slap a fruit logo on at the end and douchebag tech-bloggers will be lining up around tht block to dry hump these commercials.

  • One has to be careful putting white bread classic beauties on as spokes models. They can alienate. Not me mind you – as a Jewish boy, I like the shiksa look/ Forbidden fruit.

  • She’s rather attractive in her normal look, but looks like an alien in the commercials. On the other hand, she has a beautiful voice — I would love to listen to her talk for hours.

  • Friggin’ gorgeous as the Palm Pre Ice Queen. Friggin’ gorgeous in real life too. Woohoo!

  • Haunting. Beautiful. Those eyes just make you want to find out what’s haunting her and make it alright. Sigh, those little lost fragile waif looks get me every time. I think I need TWO Palm Pres

  • Watching her mouth as she speaks is strangely mesmerising. It’s like she’s trying to supress a grin or has a secret. And it drives me crazy. In a good way.

    • she’s a robot alien. or maybe a 3d graphic. maybe she’s a lizard underneath like the chick on “V”. She’s unattainable and i want what i can’t have.

she’s an alien like capt. james t kirk used to “do” on every show. he was my hero, so it’s deeply ingrained in me since the 5th grade.

i love it when women whisper in a breathy way and she looks like she’s naked. it’s that sexual/psycological advertising mumbo-jumbo. it’s not my fault! ;)
