The Canon EOS 7D might still be a rumor, but the company has released a whole slew of new cameras without a DSLR in sight. There are a whopping six new cameras, in four product lines. While the digital ELPHs are great, us camera geeks are mostly intersted in the new G11 and S90. Interestingly Canon dropped the megapixal sensor down to 10.0MP for both of these cameras.

Depending on how good the optics are on the S90 (f/2.0 wide open, but that doesn’t say anything about image quality), it may be a game changer.
The first truly pocketable “professional” compact… I have an LX3 and I wish it was just a little bit smaller. Fits in a jacket pocket, but most of the time you don’t need a jacket in California.
that’s little weird, small camera could do HD video, but not the G11???!!!!
wtf
Canon wants to save the G line for l33t shooters.
My G6 video capabilities are 640×480x10fps, for example. But I use video mode very occasionally, so I don’t care about it at all.
why is A1 advertising on this site? give me contextually relevant ads. those just make me hungry.
i pre-ordered my G11 for $450
